BIOKON has patent for biological color removal system which is especially used for textile industry. With this method, color of the wastewater is also removed while organic matter is being removed.

1- PRINCIPLE OF SBR (SEQUENCING BATCH REACTOR)

This biological treatment method first developed in Australia in 1970’s and then it has been used in all over the world. It has been used to solve operation problems (filamentous bacteria formation, high electrical costs and etc.) in classical biological treatment. Besides this, in SBR systems capital cost is much lower than in classical systems. Because, there are more equipments and units in classical systems such as;

1) Equalization tank, and its mixer
2) Settling tank and its scraper
3) Recycle pump

Also, in SBR system aeration equipment does not work continuously which decreases electrical cost 50 %.
